Constitution

  1. TITLE

    2. The name of the organisation shall be Nottingham Pensioners Action Group. The area of activity shall be those covered by the City of Nottingham & County.

  2. OBJECTIVES
    1. To provide a co-ordinating organisation of all retired people whose aims areto improve their living standards.
    2. To seek an adequate state pension for all retired people.
    3. To raise the status of all retired people within the City & County.
    4. To seek equal access to all benefits for all pensioners.
  3. MEMBERSHIP

    4. Membership shall be open to all individuals of all races, creeds and interested groups

  4. SUBSCRIPTIONS

    5. Individual membership shall be £5.00 per year. Couples £7.50 per year. Subscriptions shall be reviewed annually, without amending the constitution

  5. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

    6. There shall be an A.G.M. held during the month of October each year.

  6. OFFICERS

    7. The A.G.M. shall elect a Chairperson – Vice Chair – Secretary – Treasurer – Membership Organiser – Press Officer –
    plus 2 Auditors who are not elected members of the committee.

  7. COMMITTEE

    8. The committee shall consist of the officers as above plus up to 6 other Members elected at the A.G.M. The Committee will have the right to co-opt. The committee shall meet when necessary. A quorum shall be one third, one of whom shall be an officer.

  8. AMENDMENTS

    9. Amendments to the constitution may only be made at the A.G.M.
